The New York Flower Farm is a living laboratory nestled in the Shawangunk Mountains, dedicated to growing, studying, and selling native plants that attract and support wildlife.

The farm operates on the Mackenzie Younger Mountaintop Garden & Wildlife Sanctuary and offers native plants for sale every Wednesday at the Ellenville Green Market. We also provide landscape design and garden installation services to residents throughout the Hudson Valley.

Seasonal tours of the sanctuary are available by appointment.

New York Flower Farm

The New York Flower Farm is small native plant nursery locate

The New York Flower Farm is an experimental native plant nursery focused on rebranding and reimagining native plants for modern landscapes. Signature offerings include “Monarch Magnet” Queen Liatris and the American Hop Tree, “Host plant of North America’s largest butterfly”. These specialty nursery products will be available for shipping beginning in summer 2026.

You can find the New York Flower Farm every Wednesday at the Ellenville Green Market, from June through October 2025, where native plants will be available for sale. For landscape design or garden consultation services, contact Mackenzie Younger, the farm’s founder and lead designer.

While the farm itself is not currently open to the public, its home base—The Mackenzie Younger Stroll Garden & Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Shawangunk Mountains—hosts guided tours several times a year.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
